Beth Simmons is a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner with 20 years of experience in healthcare.
Her style is deeply rooted in patient advocacy.
She is all too familiar with how often patients have their health concerns dismissed and are left without answers and solutions to their health challenges.
She has navigated her own journey with endometriosis, infertility, allergies, and chronic pain, and has found her own health benefited from an integrative approach.
As the mother of neurodiverse children, she also understands the unique challenges that may arise and the extra supports that families often benefit from.
She is dedicated to helping parents support their children in achieving optimal health and believes in parental choice to make the decisions that are best for their child's unique needs. She believes that functional medicine in particular is well suited for neurodiverse children that often do not respond well to traditional medications and modalities.
Beth holds licenses in Florida, Arizona, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington. She is uniquely positioned to be able to support many of the seasonal Naples and SWF residents. Telemedicine, home visits, and office visits are available.

Beth is a warm and validating practitioner. After struggling to be heard by doctors, her caring approach was refreshing. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about hormones and how they affect various aspects of your life. Living as an autistic woman with chronic illness can be difficult, but her advice has helped me manage some aspects of it. Each aspect improved leaves more energy for another. She’s a credit to her field

Nurse Practitioner Beth is a patient, kind and talented wound care nurse. I have come to trust and rely on her opinions and integrity, over the course of several months of treatments. Highly recommend!

I’ve seen Beth on and off over the course of 4 years, as she’s a bit of a distance away. I have seen her for post-op care, pelvic floor dysfunction, PCOS, and adhesion treatment. She is one of the most caring and compassionate providers I’ve come across in my 23 year pelvic pain journey. She has always taken the time to listen and understand. She has helped me get to a place in life where my conditions are completely resolved and properly managed.

Beth is everything a Nurse Practitioner should be! She is knowledgeable, authentic, a great listener and very thorough!
I first came to her 8 years ago struggling with endometriosis and pelvic pain. She supported me through a path of surgeries, physical therapy and recommended a daily regimen. I was relieved to find that Beth has turned her concentration to Comprehensive Functional Medicine. Now I am dealing with systemic inflammation.
When I reached out I was having a hard time functioning during daily life. The swelling in my legs was debilitating. The pain, swelling and stiffness in my hands was becoming unbearable. I knew something had to change quickly, but I was not interested in heavy medications. Beth found some deficiencies and recommended supplements and diet change to relieve inflammation.
After just a short week my pain had lessened. By week two the pain in my hands was completely gone! I am confident as I continue this natural approach I will see more improvement.
It is clear that Beth has found her calling! She is very compassionate about helping others. I am so grateful our paths crossed! Thank you is simply not enough!
Functional medicine is a personalized, patient-centered approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness or imbalance in the body. It considers the complex interactions between genetics, environment, and lifestyle factors to optimize health and prevent disease.
Unlike conventional medicine, which often treats symptoms with medications or surgeries alone, functional medicine seeks to understand and address the underlying factors contributing to health issues. It emphasizes a holistic approach, aiming to promote wellness rather than just managing disease.
Functional medicine can address a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, including digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune diseases, metabolic issues, chronic fatigue, and more. It's particularly effective for conditions with complex underlying causes.
A Family Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse with a Masters degree or Doctorate degree in Advanced Practice Nursing. Family Nurse Practitioners can legally diagnose and treat various medical conditions in all age groups. Nurse Practitioners in many states may prescribe medications, write lab orders, and order and interpret diagnostic studies. Beth Simmons is an Autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner, which allows her to practice without a supervising physician in states that allow independent practice.
Yes! We can order advanced functional labs, interpret them, and make recommendations based on these labs. We can also order traditional lab studies, which may be covered by health insurance. We are experienced in DUTCH testing, GI Map, Mycotoxin, Genesite, Natera, and more.
We cannot accept patients with Medicare or Medicaid at this time due to insurance regulations.
Primary Care Services range from $50-$125 for telemedicine services. Home visits incur additional travel fees. Primary Care Services may be reimbursable through insurance. You may ask for a superbill for insurance reimbursement.

We do not accept health insurance. Functional Medicine is a very comprehensive approach to medicine that is not easily captured by insurance company codes and regulations. We believe in quality vs quantity based care. We do provide bills that can be submitted to private health insurance for reimbursement. We also accept HSA payments.

Where are your services available?
We are currently offering telemedicine services. In person visits available in SouthWest Florida in home and in clinic.
During a functional medicine consultation, you can expect a comprehensive assessment of your health history, symptoms, lifestyle factors, and environmental influences. Your practitioner will work with you to develop a personalized wellness plan focused on addressing the root causes of your health concerns.
Functional medicine incorporates a variety of treatment modalities, including lifestyle modifications, stress management techniques, targeted supplementation, detoxification protocols, and mind-body therapies. The approach is highly individualized based on each patient's unique needs. Our provider also prescribes medications as needed. (Including Hormone Replacement Therapy, medications for thyroid support, metabolic health, weight loss, mental health, anti-infectives, anti-parasitics, contraception, libido, menstrual pain support and more)
The timeline for seeing results with functional medicine varies depending on the complexity of your health issues, your adherence to the treatment plan, and other factors. While some patients experience improvements in symptoms relatively quickly, achieving long-term wellness often requires ongoing commitment and patience.
